About The Project

This page is dedicated to the Digital Humanities project for the History of Rock N’ Roll class run at Berry College. Specifically, it focuses on the shifting technology which created, wrecked, and reconfigured the rock music industry over the years. I spent several weeks researching the history of the modern music industry, focusing on methods of playback as well as new instruments and technology which affected sound. I then assembled this research, as well as relevant pictures and period advertising, in the pages here.  Works cited can be found on a separate page.

See Analysis for the importance of studying musical technology.
